Went out on Saturday to my boyfriend's secondary school carnival.

Went to a flea with Amirah, complained about our lives, and went bowling with her and a few others.

FOR SOME REASON i was at my worst. I got an overall of 48 points. Oh.

Anyway, I got this floral vintagey sleeveless shirt from the flea and it's pretty cute but i don't know how to pull it off!

Work on friday was yuck.
But thankfully, I managed to be partners with Shidah. That was the only good thing about work.

Saturday afternoon Adel called out of the blue and told me to rush downstairs :-)

He surprised me with this lovely letter and it's so adorable!! Can't believe he manages to make time to do such things when he's so busy with school.
Then we shared ice cream (a Magnum ice cream worth of $4 BUT ITS SO GOOD WTF!!) as we waited for his bus.

Later in the afternoon I had some girl time with Shidah.
... and getting rejected by plenty of retail stores.

Anyway, I spent a day out with Adel and we had fish and co. for lunch.
Their vodkaless pina colada was super good too!

Working tomorrow afternoon and I've only worked there TWICE but i'm starting to hate it.

Why?

1. I have to serve up to 3 tables and there's always ALWAYS one grumpy uncle who will spit out words like 'poor/slow service' and shake his head or something. I've learned to be patient and not pour the boiling hot chinese tea over their heads.

2. Most of the girls working there aren't... friendly. They're intimidating and djnfkjnfkendfc.

I think there are a few more points but I'll keep it to myself.

Went to Sentosa yesterday with a group of nice people.
The initial plan was to have a date with just Adel but i'm glad we joined his friends and went to the sunny beach instead.

Hadi had this really demented look as he did this.
I asked him what was he doing and he proceeded giving me his death stare.

It was a really good day.
I wore a dress that I bought in 2008 and only wore it twice i think in a span of 5 years!

Anyway, as I got in my mum's car after the appointment, a teenager (that i believe is mentally handicapped) saw me and showed me most genuine and biggest smile! I don't mean to be rude but he looked slightly like this:

So impromptu, but it was one of the best days I've had.

Helped out with a Chinese New Year lunch last thursday.
Did nothing much, just had to stand around, assist the game stations and give out oranges. Easy money!

Had dinner with Adel and his friends over at Spize the next day. Nice people and nice food.
Also got my ADTR tix! It was personally designed by Amirah :-)

No pictures of yesterday's job but it was good fun but super tiring.

I was a waitress at a hotel oh my gosh. Me, the skinny & clumsy Raudhah...became a waitress.

I had no form of experience and I was only told what to do, so you have to understand how scared I was!

Nonetheless, i had fun with Shidah Mars and the rest of the people.

She and her boyfriend are probably the cutest couple I've met!!!

January has been really slow for me but here's what I've concluded:

1. I am in a relationship with a boy I never thought I would be with and it's the longest relationship I've been in. Yeah, I still can't get over that.

2.Thinking of loaning my Polaroid! Probably charge it around 10$ a week inclusive of film.

So last week I................

Bought a very pretty 2 dollar dress for my cat. She's now a princess.

Applied at Starbucks with the help of Nadirah!

She was also the girl that accompanied me during the Poly open houses.

Bought these pretty things for 3 dollars each. Gotta love F21.

Had good warm hot chocolate with Adel.

And also, managed to get the early bird tickets for A Day To Remember approximately 20 minutes before they were sold out. Really lucky.

SO much love for Adel for sparing 60 bucks to pay for my ticket. Though I'm sure I'll pay him back soon.

I think I've finally come up with my New Year's resolutions. Hope it's not too late.

Focus on school.
I really need to give my 120% on this one. Don't want to disappoint anyone anymore!
Get a job while waiting for school to start.
Want to help out with the fees of the Private diploma and also make up for all the dates Adel had paid for. Heh.

hello! it's been a week since 2012 began and I still have not thought of any resolutions.......

I'm quite satisfied with life right now, I don't see anything that needs to be done.

Nonetheless, I went to the Poly's open houses yesterday with a friend from Twitter and fell madly in love with Singapore Poly's Creative Writing.

2012 has been the same but I'm very very sure something's going to change after 2 pm on Monday. My 'O' level results will be outttttttttt D:

REALLY LOVE THIS 50mm LENS!!!!

My new year's eve consisted of Adel along with his friends which sums up to around 10 people.
We went bowling and ended up at the Barrage.

The night was fun, there were live bands and Adel and I lied down on my bag as we watched the kites above us. He whispered words in my ears with our hands entwined.

It was a wonderful night. Nothing went wrong :-)

Here's a question I received on Formspring!

I guess it's not the easiest thing. But we work it out somehow.
I constantly tell my boyfriend I love him and he does the same. It may not seem much but it's a reminder that says 'hey, i still love you despite this bad day we had'.

And when we do argue, we'll always talk about our discontent at the end of the day. Don't keep your unhappiness inside, just tell him. It may lead to him thinking of leaving and vice versa but don't let that stop you from trying!!

Talk to him and talk it all out. Communication is the key.

Do not drag the topic of 'leaving' too much, either one of you will think more and more about it and you may not see the sparkle in the relationship anymore.

Appreciate him. He paid for your food? Say thank you. Don't take it for granted.

I've had my fair share of experiences from the douches i dated and either one of us stopped trying.
If you want it to work out, it will work out.

How I spent my last week of December.

I don't think I actually had any New Year's resolutions for 2011. Maybe I knew I was never going to complete them even if I did make a list.
I'm lazy to even go to the store five minutes from my house and laminate this darn sheet of paper. Ah well.

The start of 2011 was horrid. I was sort of dumped and i lost a friend and as months passed, i lost more friends and there were 'O' levels!! I think I died and lived again during the month of my exams. But there's always a rainbow at the end of a storm, right? A lovely curly haired nerd saved me.

And, hey, i'm still here, aren't I? I'm fit (in a skinny way) and alive!

Dropped by Adel's house and took care of him due to him being temporarily unwell before heading out.

He tried to tell me.

“What if I die?” he asked through the phone. I flipped a page of the book I was reading, listening to half of what he was saying.
“I don’t know. Hold on, can you repeat the chapters?”

While I was busy with everything else, focused on getting into a good school, I lost the light of my life. I guess it’s true what they say, some people subconsciously know when they’re about to die.

He fell asleep on his bed and never woke up; wearing the grey sweater I got for him for his birthday. But in the three days before he died, he returned all the things he borrowed from people, visited his grandparents and gave off a number of his clothes to charity.

A night before his death, he dropped by my house and we watched a movie together in bed. I cried as the show ended and as he wiped my tears, he made me promise to be strong and never cry again.

People in school looked at me in sadness and pity and my mum kept making me soup and brought me out shopping almost every weekend for a whole month. I think she was afraid that I might join him too.

The songs in my phone were all of his favorite songs so I threw my phone to the floor and cried myself to sleep in his flannel shirt. I was so angry and on that night I wondered how he could do this to me.

I’m left with the polaroids I have of him in my wallet, his perfume that would always remind me of how he smells like and the ring he got for me on the day we got together.
I miss you. And I still love you. I really do.

Am really proud of my second roll of film from my Diana! 7 photos!!!!
And I think I'm getting better :~)

I love being surprised by my own photos. All the more reason to fall in love with lomography.
I used the 4x4 effect which lets me have more photos but the photos would be slightly smaller.

1. Amirah and Adel at Haji Lane. I think I pressed the shutter slightly too long!
2. My first shot. Adel at Bras Basah.

3. A SEAL!!! at Underwater World, the day I was in a relationship.
4. On the tramp at Sentosa. I think this is my favorite!

Alright to the anonymous who asked how to use a Diana F+, it's really simple!

Purchase the 120 mm film and if you're unsure how to load it, ask the shopowner. That's what I usually do.

I purchase my film at Bras Basah, the first level. The people are really friendly.

After loading the film, turn the little knob on top of the camera repeatedly till you see '1' on the small screen.

After so, you adjust your shutter speed which is at the top of the lens.

'N' stands for normal setting.

Important: when taking photos using 'N' be sure it's in daylight!!! Needs loads of sun.

'B' stands for bulb setting.

This can be used when you've got yourself a flash for the Diana.

Before taking a photo, adjust the aperture which can be found at the bottom of the lens.

No need to be a genius to figure out what they stand for.

'P' stands for pinhole.

I've no idea when and how to use that so i avoid using it hahahaha.

Now you're ready to take le photos~~~~!!!

It's super easy! After clicking the shutter, you turn the knob clock wise till the screen says '2'.

Once again, after clicking the shutter, you turn the knob clock wise till screen says '3'. It just goes on and on.

And that's how you use it.

If you think this whole post was silly and you still can't understand, youtube it! Cause that's what i did! Have fun :)

Had the fleat at Homeclub on Sat along with Amirah, Elyna and Farihin.
SO DISAPPOINTED WITH THE CROWD GAH. But I guess it's because of the rain and the location.

Adel came a few hours later and I gave a maximum powered hug and whined while doing so and he gave me lovely lovely moral support. Love him.

Though the crowd was bad, I had good fun and managed to sell off a few things and got myself April 77's jeans and these shoes for 28 dollars!!!

Will be having a flea again with the same good people next year! Hopefully we'll get a spot at the ever so popular Scape.

So 2011 is ending very soon so I thought I'd list down the things that were the ~highlights~ of this year.

1. Vacation to Hong Kong. I finally got to see Disneyland and it was a really neat city. I wouldn't mind going again.

2. Graduated from Secondary School. Finally, oh my goodness, FINALLY.

3. The removal of my braces oh wow. :')

4. A haircut. I vowed to never cut my hair short ever again after the few disasters I've had.... but I braved through my fears and had it cut anyway. Award me with a medal, will you?

5. Syed Adel. Never been so thankful to have such a man in my life. Thank you for sticking by me, longer than any other guy.

6. And thank you for still reading this 4 year old blog.

On the morning of my birthday, I woke up due to the cold and tugged my blanket when my hand hit a paper bag set by my bed. I found a letter and long black box inside it. It was from my boyfriend :')

He got me a wand.

Later in the afternoon, Adel brought me to ice skate even though I almost chickened out and gave him excuses like 'I'm wearing a crop top!!! It's going to be cold!' and 'It's so pricey!! Let's watch a movie instead.'

He stayed persistent and bought a grey t shirt for himself and borrowed me his hoodie. Gah.

MIRACULOUSLY, i'm pretty good at ice skating for a first timer!

Only fell once and that was because I was laughing so hard, I couldn't balance lol wtf.

OH SUCH A LOVELY STORY ON HOW I MET MY LOVELY ARABKINS.

I didn't know much about Adel then. I mean Amirah had posted photos of him on her blog/twitter and I was strangely attracted to him but the whole time in my head, all i thought was 'RIGHT.. AS IF HE'S EVER GOING TO EVEN LOOK AT ME.'

Nonetheless, he added me on Facebook and we barely talked. Both of us thinking "lol way too 'high standard' for me".

Erina and I planned to go to a gig together in July. So I waited for her arrival at a bus stop and Amirah was there! She was going to the same gig and said she was waiting for Adel.

LOL MY HART RACED.

He arrived soon enough, wearing a purple flannel shirt and within it was a Stheart tank top.

"This is Raudhah, and this is Adel," Amirah introduced.

"Hello Raudhah," he said.

"Hi."

AWWW WHAT A CUTIEEEEEE~~~!

And when he put on his black rimmed glasses oh god i went to heaven.

We were all waiting for Erina and I kept texting her 'omg he's SOoOo cute!! like a surfer HAHA' And I was so attracted to the way he spoke!!! Can't even put it in words but it's really lovely.

According to him, I looked like I was not interested in him at all. My smile towards him was brief and I gave him a 'too good for you' aura. TO WHICH I DON'T EVEN I MEAN WHAT.

Took the bus to the gig and we didn't talk much from then on. I honestly thought I wasn't ever going to talk nor see him anymore. I thought he was too good for me :(

Later at night, I got home with my shoes covered in mud from the horrible dancing. Went online and a WILD CHAT BOX APPEARED.

"Sorry I didn't say goodbye!" Adel typed.

And then.. well, things happened.

I know, I know, I sound like a crazy fan girl but I promise you, there's more to this. I've fallen in love with this boy and I've never been happier.

So 'O' levels ended last Monday.... which means a good old 6 months of holiday!!

And so I sent out resumes....

(i feel like it's time for me to pay for the food when Adel and I go out)

Cut my old pair of jeans to shorts.....

And painted my nails.....

And I did all of that in half a week.....

The other day on our first month (which was also the day of my Art exam), Adel got me a lovely necklace with the pendant of an anchor.

Along with it was this super cute hand made card he did with the words "You Be The Anchor That Keeps My Feet On The Ground, I'll Be The Wings That Keep Your Heart In The Clouds". A song by Mayday Parade.

Due to my O's, I didn't have much free time to browse through shops or anything but I felt SUPER GUILTY not getting him anything. Not even a card! But i still love him the same, nonetheless.

For the next few days, I kept telling him 'I love you so much I'LL GET YOU A PLANE!!!'

Yeah, no kidding, I really ordered a tin toy plane online that spins around when you press the shutter thingy. I got him a plane cause he's studying about airplanes and stuff in his school. Aren't I a neat girlfriend?!

ANYWAY, Amirah needed Adel & I to help out with her project on Friday and Saturday.

And it was to have a photoshoot of us!!! It was really good fun I swear. SHE'S SO CUTE BTW HAHAHA I CAN'T.

It was Graduation Day on Friday.

5 years and I'm finally done with it.

I wasn't very sad though..... lol. But still, great company i've had for the past year.

Went to meet Adel for a date to the National Museum of Singapore.

I love how he actually enjoys museums.

Went to the Underwater World with Adel on Sunday! We've been planning to go for the longest time.

The jellyfishes were the prettiest.

There was this one point of time as we were observing the fishes when Adel said, "What super power would you want to have?" to which I don't remember replying but then he brought out this Green Lantern ring and he leaned over to my ear and asked, "Will you be my girlfriend?"

And there we go. My first official boyfriend. It didn't really sink in until we... publicized it.

Adel and I are masters of impromptu dates.

We found this really neat place at East Coast and it was so lovelyyyyyyy. Books everywhere and games and good milkshakes.

It was productive as well cause Mr Smarty Pants here taught me math and science.

He's really brainy but I don't understand how I can defeat him in almost every game we've played.....

I developed my first roll of film from my Diana and only 4 out of 12 were developed!!! (I didn't upload the fourth one cause it isn't nice hahahha)

I asked around and they said that the rest of the film were overexposed, hence it can't be developed...... :\

I AM LOVING THE LIGHT LEAKS THOUGH!! Look at that red imperfection at the corner!!!!

Lomography is a truly expensive and difficult hobby but I.. want... to do... more of it..

After months, I'm finally gonna develop my first roll of film from my Diana F+.
I am super nervous of how it'll turn out!!!!!

My submission for Art Paper 1 was last week and it had to be honestly one of the most stressful weeks I've ever had.

I honestly don't think I'd get an A.
Meh.

It was 11 p.m on a Saturday night and I swear to God I thought he'd be studying all day for his examinations next week. Not planning some scheme.

And so I opened the door to my house and noticed a toy with the shape of a bird on the bench by my house along with a letter and a wrapped book. As I picked the bird up, I vaguely remember being at a toy store with him a few weeks back and I pointed out to the same bird, acknowledging how it was the nicest among the rest.

"This is so cute," I squealed over the phone. "Where are you? I'll come down."

You know that feeling when you've been away from home for a long time and finally, you've step foot of your house, embracing that familiar bed?

That was how I felt when the doors of the lift slid open and saw Adel.

He kept asking how I was as the night before I broke down whilst on the phone with him.

"I thought you needed cheering up," he smiled.

Received my 'O' level results for Malay and it was.... disappointing.

I passed but it really isn't a pretty grade.

Totally retaking it but that means.... no more free periods... :-(
